Job Description
  1. Construct, assemble and repair steam boilers and auxilliary mechanisms
  2. Align structures and plate sections to assemble boiler frames, tanks, vats
  3. Work with tools applicable to the boilermaking trade
  4. Assist in the testing of assembled vessels
  5. Cleaning of boilers and furnaces
  6. Inspect and repair fittings eg valves, regulators, auto-control mechanisms, safety valves
  7. Ensure leak-proof joints
  8. Bolt and arc-weld pressure vessel structures and parts
  9. Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks and vats to locate defects eg leaks, weak spots, defective sections
  10. Lay out plate, sheet steel, or other heavy metal, locate and mark bending and cutting lines
  11. Follow blueprints, instructions and drawings
