Job Description
  1. Responsible for all manufacturing and packing as follows;
  2. Plan, schedule and maintain efficient throughput in line with production plan and meet required targets
  3. Maintain and review production standards periodically
  4. Write and review batch manufacturing and packaging control records
  5. Control labour utilisation and write monthly report of actual v theoretical hours
  6. Ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentary requirements
  7. Check actual v theoretical yields and check an discrepancies
  8. Human resource management to include performance appraisals, monitoring of absenteeism, appropriate delegation of workload and correct supervision, motivation and training programmes in line with HR policy
  9. Aim for zero deviation and reworks
  10. Conduct regular GMP inspections, assist production supervisors in the training of personnel, perform daily compliance inspections, ensure factory hygiene, write and review SOPs
  11. Be an active member of new products team, including manufacture of trial/ pilot batches, related new documentation and production standards and training of staff
  12. Ensure maintenance of production equipment liaising with the maintenance manager accordingly
  13. Ensure all appropriate process validations and calibrations of control equipment are performed
  14. Maintain security of the production department assets and processes
  15. Maintain a safe working environment and participate in the safety committee meeting every quarter
