This role is a one year contract with an international client that works closely with NGOs. The successful candidate will be based in Mali, but must be willing to move (not be based in one place) as the role demands travel. You will be required to carry out electrical works including vehicle preparation, fault finding, diagnosis and rectification and the fitting of electronics equipment to standard defined by the Motor Vehicle Retail and Repair Industry with the minimum of supervision.

Job Description
  1. To diagnose and undertake electro-mechanical repairs on a variety of vehicles and generators as used by the organisation
  2. To undertake electrical installation of accessories and ancillary equipment on a variety of vehicles and generators as used by the organisation
  3. To test and repair digital control systems including ABS controls. (If Fitted)
  4. To service and repair ancillary parts and equipment as required
  5. To inspect, maintain and repair all types of petrol and diesel engine motor vehicles and plant operated by our organisation
  6. To identify and advise on or directly requisition parts and equipment as necessary.
  7. To liaise with the Workshop Managers, Lead Mechanics Manager in order to determine the faults and the most efficient was of effecting the necessary repair.
  8. To keep own tools and equipment clean and tidy and the same at any site or work area after use (if appropriate).
  9. To complete all documentation including inspection sheets, reports, jobcards applying signatures as appropriate.
  10. To note the details of any accident incurred whilst driving any vehicle owned, operated by or in the custody and submit report to your Line Manager immediately Service Manager
  11. To identify repairs required through unfair wear and tear and advice the Workshop Manager, Lead Mechanic of such repairs
  12. To undertake training as may be required
  13. To carry out work within a realistic time, be this time either manufacturers, locally negotiated or a combination of both or by agreed schedules of work.
  14. To record all times and attendance hours on the Job Card
