Job Description
The Workshop Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining a Preventative Maintenance System
Development of planned service and component exchange intervals (Including Management of company light vehicles)
Liaison with Operations in order to conduct fleet maintenance and ensure fleet availability
Assessment of driver defect forms to evaluate the need for immediate intervention or actions to feed into the maintenance planning system
Development of Facilities Maintenance plan in conjuncture with Resident Engineer and oversee implementation
Breakdown management and analysis
Establish and maintain network outwork contacts to assist with breakdown calls both local and within the region
Ordering of spares in conjunction with Procurement Department based on scheduled maintenance in order to reduce working capital tied into stock
Development of Spares budget
Trend analysis of spares consumption and cost analysis of workshop consumables
Conducts Performance Appraisals with direct subordinates
