Job Description
Maintain and update an accurate workshop bookings register and display board.
Write parts requisitions against details provided by the Foreman/Supervisor/technicians and give these requisitions to Parts Department and collect the parts when available.
Maintain a record of back ordered parts and the relevant job-card details.
Follow up on back ordered parts and escalate any problems to the Foreman, Workshop Manager and Parts Manager.
Assist with the duties of the Costing Clerk in his absence and should close, cost and invoice all job cards accurately, in liaison with the Foreman and Supervisor
Maintain a register of special tools, equipment and diagnostic equipment and ensure that the equipment is serviced or calibrated or updated on time and record such activity.
Ensure that the workshop is always adequately equipped with the correct specification lubricants, fluids and greases, ordering as such from our suppliers when required.
Prepare quotations for customers for specific jobs, based on information provided by the Service Manager or Foreman
Any other related duties assigned by his/her superior.
