Our client is looking for a Logistics Manager who will be responsible for efficiently managing all costs of transportation, services and inventory transportation within the approved distribution strategy. Job Description
Managing technical details relating to possibly international transportation, such as customs regulations and any necessary documentation
Efficiently managing all costs of transportation, services and inventory transportation within the approved distribution strategy
Developing and leading Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process
Ensuring company compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation, including hazardous materials
Resolving any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution.
Ensuring the Logistics Department complies with ISO 9002 requirements
Planning routes and load scheduling for all transportation activities for the Organization.
Allocating and recording resources and movements on the transport planning system.
Ensuring all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
Overseeing all planned maintenance of vehicles.
Recruiting third party sub-contractors and ensuring that they deliver within agreed terms.
Performing related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
