Job Description
Lead negotiations for the major spend purchases and contracts and develop strategies and implementation plans for optimising total spends and effectively delivering budgeted procurement of transport services.
Spearhead establishment, review and enhancement of strategic relationships with Transporters to ensure clear communication channels for improved service delivery and optimised working capital management.
Formulate and implement Logistics flow optimisation, warehousing and transportation.
Implement correct logistics procurement and in accordance with the laid down procedures
To ensure that sufficient transport capacity (road and rail) is available at all times to convey raw materials and products by way of contracts or other suitable arrangements.
To manage the relationships with transporters. Manage the logistics and administration of all inbound raw materials and outbound product
Manage optimisation of product sourcing and the distribution network such as making use of backhaul opportunities and understanding total delivered cost.
Weekly update the forecasting model (sales, production and stocks) in order to ensure that available stocks are used in the most effective way.
