The successful incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the user support process for the organisation, ensuring that there is a fluid, day to day maintenance of application systems in the business systems environment, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation. The resource will also be responsible for evaluating, monitoring and reporting on the performance of selected IT suppliers and vendors. Job Description
Provide first line user support for system issues including hardware and software issues encountered by system users
Delivers required business change initiatives as may be required from time to time
Ensures that the application systems environment is maintained in good health and also ensures optimal business systems performance at all times with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency
Manages application configuration and upgrades, and carries out problem analysis and resolution for complex application problems
Analyses existing business software and hardware systems based on business strategy and industry trends then designs technology road maps to meet the business needs
Participates in business strategy and planning in order to support delivery of business objectives
Drives timeous resolution of business support or change request in line with agreed SLAs
Perform root causes analysis, management communication and user management in collaboration with other support team members
Troubleshoot all vendor related problems and escalate to management when required
Lead and coordinate a team of first line support personnel
