A pioneering non-profit conservation organisation that focuses on the protection of White Lions in the wild, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of General Manager. In this role you will be tasked with overall responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the organisation in addition to overseeing personnel and revenue and cost elements. Job Description
General management of and responsibility for all departments
Weekly report back to the CEO on operations and future operational plans
Preparation and management of budgets for all departments, to be approved by CEO and Board of Trustees
Monthly review of management accounts / report, and sending to Board of Trustees
Overall responsibility for the management of the 14-bed visitor camp
Ensuring all necessary requirements for Public Liability Insurance, PAX insurance, vehicle & buildings insurance, OHS, HR, and WLT Code of Conduct & Disciplinary Procedures, are in order on annual basis
Setting up, implementation and overseeing of staff induction program
Implementation of veld and lion management plan compiled by Ecologist & Conservation Manager
Strategic planning and managing operations for special projects identified by CEO
Lion Tracking & Monitoring by vehicle as part of the weekly schedule of the lion monitoring team
