A well established transport company is in search of an Assistant Workshop Technical Manager to assist with defining, implementing, improving and maintaining state of the art workshop systems. Job Description
Assists in providing efficient and effective day to day management of workshop and liaise with stores to ensure all parts and spares are available to fit
Assists in designing and implementing state of the art workshop systems and processes
Identify cost saving opportunities
Assist and advise management on disposal of assets whether selling, scrapping and/or write off
Ensure that all assets are kept in sterling condition and in safe and good working order whilst being maintained and cosmetically good to look at
Ensure that all assets are kept in sterling condition and in safe and good working order whilst being maintained mechanically and visually
Ensure the maintenance, servicing and roadworthiness of all vehicles are attended to on time and within agreed standard
Developing and complying with all HSES regulations for all work processes in the workshop area by developing anti-theft measures and assuming full responsibility for all tools, spare parts, diesel, etc
Establish and maintain a strong and professional working relationship and a open communication channel at all time with operations and Legal departments, to ensure availability to assist whenever required, particularly on accident evaluations, quotations, and all driver and/or workshop deductions relating to misuse or damage of equipment
