You will be responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. The successful individual will be offered a 2 year fixed term contract after the probation period.

Job Description
Responsible for day to day financial reports including receipt summaries, banking and working capital reports [stocks, debtors, bank and creditors]
Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Responsible for working capital management inventory control, debtors, bank, cash and creditors management
Ensure timeous reconciliation of all intercompany balances
Responsible for the companies' cost control i.e. cost accumulation and containment measures
Prepare the company's trial balance and financial movements report
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes including all reconciliations
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
Continuous support of budget and forecast activities and monitoring and support of taxation requirements
Maintain and update the companies' fixed asset register
Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Evaluate and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
Collect and analyse financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
