- Responsible for the management and effective implementation of entire programme
- Oversee, with the assistance of Deputy team Lead, timely implementation and reporting of activities, accurate programme monitoring and evaluation, proper financial management, reporting and spending, ensuring compliance with programme terms and conditions
- Liaise with relevant local, district and national level government departments as well as any applicable international organisations
- Impart a deep understanding of gender equity issues and promotion of women's entrepreneurship and employment

| Skills To | Engage with key stakeholders and policy makers in central government and private sector on high level issues including market based solutions for improvements in regional trade of staple foods |
| Ability To | Lead in transformative programmes that take a systems approach to private sector development, successfully manage donor relationships with high value contracts |

| Other | Must have proven experience in leading and successfully delivering development programmes that use the Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach |
